How to update my home internet user id and password on my Vincent modem
- Open a web browser.
- Type http://vincent (or 192.168.2.1) in your web address bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Under SERVICE STATUS, click on Home Internet.
- If prompted, enter your administrator password. Unless you’ve changed it, the default password is “admin”. Click Log in.
- Click Change.
- Enter your Home Internet User ID (v2xxxx##) and password.
- Click on Connect.
- In about 30 seconds, you’ll see a green “UP” flag under your Home Internet service.

Heads Up! An administrator password is required when accessing your modem’s settings. By default, the password is set to “admin”, but you can set your own password for increased security.
- Open a web browser.
- Type http://vincent (or 192.168.2.1) in your web address bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Click MODEM PREFERENCES.
- If prompted, enter your administrator password. Unless you’ve changed it, the default password is “admin”. Click Log in.
- Type your current admin password in the Current Password field.
- Type a new password in the New password field.
- Re-type the new password in the Confirm Password field.
- Click Save.

How to set up password recovery on my Vincent modem
Heads Up! Once set up, you can press the password recovery button on your Vincent modem to receive an email of your passwords or you can view it on the modem screen.
- Open a web browser.
- Type http://vincent (or 192.168.2.1) in your web address bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Click MODEM PREFERENCES.
- If prompted, enter your administrator password. Unless you’ve changed it, the default password is “admin”. Click Log in.
- Under Password Recovery, turn ON “By email”.
- In the Contact information section, enter your email address.
- Confirm your email address.
- Optionally, you can also enter your mobile number to receive a text message.
- Click Save.

How to retrieve the administrator password on my Vincent modem
By default, the password is set to “admin”, but you can set your own password for increased security.
If you ever forget your administrator password, your modem can email it you as well as your Wi-Fi information (network names and passwords).
- On the front of your modem, press the down arrow until “Wi-Fi Password” is on the screen and press the OK button
- Vincent will email or text you your passwords to the number and/or email address shown on the screen
If you never configured this feature, you will need to reset your Vincent modem.

If there’s an issue with your Internet connection, you can usually fix it by rebooting your modem.
- On your Vincent modem, locate the power cable.
- Remove the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reinsert the cable.

How to reset my Vincent modem to factory settings
Heads Up! Resetting your Vincent modem to its original factory settings might be necessary when your modem does not appear to be working properly. Resetting the modem will erase all personalized settings.
- On the front of the modem, press the down arrow and scroll to Reset to factory default.
- Scroll to Yes and press OK to confirm.
- Wait for the modem to restore the factory default settings.
- Wait until all 3 LED lights are white
Your previous WiFi settings will automatically be set to your previous settings.

How to perform a speed test from my Vincent modem
Performing a speed test from your Vincent modem is the most accurate way to measure the Internet speeds Virgin Plus is delivering to your home.
- On the front of the modem, press the down arrow and scroll to Test internet speed.
- Press OK to confirm.
- Wait for the speed test to be completed.
- Review the results… The measured download speed should be approximately equal to the Internet service you signed up for.

How to configure the primary wi-fi network on my Vincent modem
Heads Up! You will need to use your Wi-Fi network name and password when connecting devices to your Wi-Fi network.
- Open a web browser.
- Type http://vincent (or 192.168.2.1) in your web address bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Click MANAGE MY WI-FI.
- If prompted, enter your administrator password. Unless you’ve changed it, the default password is “admin”. Click Log in.
- Ensure your Primary Wi-Fi network is turned ON.
- If you want, you can change your Primary Wi-Fi network name and password to something easier to remember.
- Click Save.

How to setup the guest wi-fi network on my Vincent modem
Your guest Wi-Fi network only provides access to the Internet. Guests donʼt have access to the other devices on your network and can’t change your networkʼs settings. You will need to use this network name and password when connecting your Wi-Fi devices to your network as a guest.
- Open a web browser.
- Type http://vincent (or 192.168.2.1) in your web address bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.
- Click MANAGE MY WI-FI.
- If prompted, enter your administrator password. Unless you’ve changed it, the default password is “admin”. Click Log in.
- Ensure the Guest Wi-Fi network is set to the ON position.
- If you want, you can change the network name and password to something easier to remember. Tip: You can add the word "guest" to the network name to distinguish it from your primary network.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.

How to connect devices to my wi-fi network using WPS
If your computer or wireless device has a WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) button, you can connect it to your primary Wi-Fi network quickly, without entering your Wi-Fi password. If the device does not support WPS, you will have to configure its Wi-Fi settings manually.
- Turn on your computer or wireless device.
- On the front of the modem, press the down arrow and scroll to Connect Wi-Fi device (WPS)
- Press OK to confirm
You will have 2 minutes to connect your computer or Wi-Fi device. If you do not complete the process in time you will need to restart this step.
- Press and hold the WPS button on your computer or Wi-Fi device for 5 seconds. The password for your primary Wi-Fi network will automatically load into the device and connect to the network.
