Virgin Mobile Live Presents Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros!

Toronto (Ontario) November 8, 2010 – With the holidays just around the corner, there's nothing quite like the gift of a totally awesome live concert. On December 3, 2010, Virgin Mobile Live presents Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros at the Mod Club. This is yet another show in the Virgin Mobile Live concert series, but as a special holiday gift from Virgin Mobile, anyone can get access to a killer show for just $20!

Since the holiday season is a time for giving, Virgin Mobile Live is offering the chance for everyone to give a little to a great cause with every ticket sold. Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards Virgin Unite and Virgin Mobile's RE*Generation, a movement to support at-risk and homeless youth programs in Canada and get young people off the streets and on the road to a bigger, brighter future.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros formed in 2007 in Los Angeles, California. The band's debut album, Up From Below, was release in July 2009 and produced by Vagrant Records and Rough Trade Records. This indie folk and alternative record is a 15-track collection featuring popular singles such as 40 Day Dream, Home and Janglin'. The hit single, Home, has been featured in NFL commercials as well as on the hit NBC show Community and Janglin' was featured in a commercial for the 2011 Ford Fiesta. Known for their high-energy performances contrasted with the harmonized melodies of a smooth, indie-folk alternative sound, the band is currently featured in four categories on the Billboard charts, including rock albums, independent, alternative and the Billboard Top 200.

Tickets for the December 3 show at Toronto's Mod Club will be available via Ticket Web starting today at noon. All proceeds will support the RE*Generation Movement and Virgin Unite, the charitable foundation of the Virgin Group.
