Upgrading is super simple!
If you're on a term agreement
When you get a new phone on a 2-year agreement with Sweet Pay™, you are able to pay for your new phone in 24 monthly payments with 0% APR (a down payment may be required on some phones).
You can upgrade to a new phone by paying off your remaining phone balance. Getting a new phone has never been easier.
Good to Know: A one-time upgrade processing fee ($70) applies with hardware upgrades. You may need to change your rate plan when you upgrade. Check in-store or My Account for more details.
How to check your eligibility or your remaining phone balance:
- Download and open the My Account app
- Hit the red "+ icon at the bottom of your screen
- Tap 'Upgrade your phone'
- Select the phone you'd like to upgrade to and follow the next steps
- Head to My Account and log in
- Hit the 'Upgrade now' button on the My Services tab
- Select the phone you’d like to upgrade to follow next steps

If you're a prepaid member
You can upgrade your phone at any time by paying the full retail price of a new one, just pop into any Virgin Plus store to see our hot phones.
Or if you want to save some cash, you can always head to any Virgin Plus store and do a credit check to see if you're good to move to a 2-year agreement in order to get a shiny new phone at a discounted price!
Trade-in
With the Virgin Plus Trade-in program, you can trade in your old phone in store to lower your monthly device payments or trade in online and get a credit on your account. Check what your device is worth here.
